Peanut Butter Balls: The Delicious Protein-Rich Recipe

Peanut Butter Balls: The Delicious Protein-Rich Recipe

There’s nothing better than a protein-rich snack that you can throw together in five minutes, grab at any time for a treat on the go, AND tastes delicious.

We are sharing our very favorite Collagen Peanut Butter Balls because we think you need to try these. The best part about this recipe is that you can use it as is, or as a base to add your favorite flavors to make it your own!

Bonus points for this recipes because kids love them!

This snack boasts simple but powerful ingredients. We love the whole-grain oat base because oats are a well-balanced source of carbs, fiber, and necessary vitamins such as zinc and iron.

Peanut butter adds not only flavor but also a punch of protein and healthy fats.

Perhaps the least commonly known ingredient in this recipe is collagen which is known to help improve digestion, as well as support your joints, hair, and nails.

Lastly, chia seeds bring us omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and calcium.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup peanut butter (can be chunky or smooth)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons collagen
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ¼ c maple syrup or honey

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix with a spoon. If you need to add moisture, you can use a bit of water. If you need to dry the mixture out, you can add rolled oats until you get to desired consistency.
  3. Use a spoon to portion mixture into balls.
  4. Put balls in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
  5. Keep these in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week.
Want to make this gluten-free? Just substitute in gluten-free oats.
Want to make this vegan?Omit the collagen and choose maple syrup instead of honey!

Have a peanut allergy? Use almond butter instead! Want to make your Collagen Peanut Butter Balls even more delicious?Try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon, a half a cup of chocolate chips, some coconut, or any other flavor that sounds good! We think there many reasons to try this recipe.

Obviously, being a delicious snack is at the top of the list, but we also love these because they are a super easy and package-free way to replace individually wrapped granola bars which contribute to an excess of plastic that is harming the environment.

Fresher food for you and more mindful choices for the earth? These Collagen Peanut Butter Balls are a win/win!
